Words

Bella is almost 20 months old and here are the words that she says on a nearly daily basis:

Mama (the newest incarnation is yelling this from her crib when she wakes up!)
Dada (she says this all day long while dada is at work)
Sah (Sunny, her very best friend)
No (this is her favorite word)
Up
Hot
Light
Sit (she says sit every time she sees her potty)
Woof (dog)
Socks
Shoe
Ball

She does not say yes, but she has a certain laugh/giggle that she does when you ask her a question and the answer is yes

These are the words that she signs:
More
All done
Eat
Music
Drink
Rain
Down
Baby
Sleep
Bath
Yes
Book
Milk
Bird
Butterfly (kind-of, this is a fairly complex sign)

There are a bunch of words that she has said once, but she has never said them again.

It is so amazing to watch the process of language development. It is crazy how much she understands, yet how little she says. She often talks in her own Bella language, which often so closely mimics what it seems she is really trying to say in English, etc.

Watching Bella grow and develop is such a reminder of the complexity of the human body and how much we take for granted on a daily basis. Every development is such a blessing. We are so grateful.
