Bella is 19 Months Old!!!!

Wow...I can't believe that a month has gone by so fast. Bella is in such a great place right now. She is eating like crazy most days and she is full of laughter, energy and will. This past month we have gone to the park alot...it has been a gloriously warm January. This last week Bella started a tumbling gymnastics class which was lots of fun. It is a big cushioned room with all sorts of different obstacles to climb, mini-trampolines, balance beams, bars...all designed for 1-2 year olds. Of course, she was most interested in all of the balls that were around the room and spent most of the class organizing them. Once the balls got put away she spent some time climbing in and out of a giant padded donut. She also loved watching me jump on the trampoline, but was not quite ready to do it herself.

Bella still loves to read lots of books everyday. If we are stuck inside due to rain or sickness, then we spend most of the day reading. Her favorite books right now are "Who Hoots", "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb", "Summer", "Farm", "Baby Animals", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear", "Go Dogs Go". I know there are some more, but I can't remember them.

Bella also enjoys pointing out body parts such as nose, mouth, eyes, hair, head and her favorite...belly button! She kind of says nose, eyes and hair. She is also saying "ball" alot as playing with balls is one of her favorite past times. She loves seeing people playing soccer or basketball at the park and gets immediately enthrawled in watching them and wont even play. She will just stand there and watch with incredible concentration. If she is in the mood to play, she still loves the swing and goes down most slides by herself now. She is good at climbing up most things to, but I still have to shadow her.

She is now mostly fitting into a 2T or 3T in clothing and is a size 5 shoe. It is so much fun to dress her. I am enjoying the time where she gets to wear what I want her to wear.

Bella also loves music. Her favorite CD to listen to is Music Together. I have had about enough of them, but it makes her so happy that I get over it. I have been experimenting with other kids music, but she is totally over anything but Music Together. Oh, and Raffi of course. She also plays with any toy that makes music. She is not really into making the music herself via a drum or shaker, but love to press buttons and have music come out. She likes to get a bunch of different musical toys going at once for total cacophony.

She is starting to draw a little bit, but is more interested in playing with the crayons than drawing with them.

Bella still hates to have her diaper changed and if we ask her if she has poo poo pants her answer is always "no". Oh yeah, she has started saying "no" the last couple of weeks. She says it so matter of factly that it is funny. She is very clear when she does not want something.

Mark and I are having a total blast with Bella. She cracks us up all day long and we feel so grateful to have her blessing us with her laughter and curiosity.
