Well ever since I can remember Bella has loved books. Before she could walk she used to spend lots of time just flipping through the pages of books. It used to be impossible to actually read her a book because a short way through she would get impatient and start turning the pages herself and telling her own story! Well now she will sit in my lap and go through a book with me. Her favorite right now is the Baby Colors book. Each page is dedicated to a color and has several pictures of objects of that color. I just started asking her to point out the different things and was totally surprised at how many things she knew. I guess that I could have started doing that sooner! She also loves the Dr. Seuss ABC book. I highly recommend it if you have a little one! We have read it to her almost every night for at least 7 months now. A new favorite is Dancing With Degas. It has a story set to Degas' paintings and she loves it. Maybe she wants to be a ballerina already!
Anyways, I love having her settle down in my lap as that is such special time with Bella. It is so rare for her to stop moving while she is awake! I look forward to all of the books that we have yet to read!
